Like so many others, I was shocked to hear of Elisabeth Sladen's death, especially so soon after Nicholas Courtney's. It doesn't seem fair, but I guess that's just the way of life.

I felt compelled to produce some commemorative artwork of Lis, as a way of showing my appreciation of her as a person, and of her character, Sarah Jane, who was loved by so many.
This sketch card, rendered in prismacolour pencils is now on eBay.
20% of the final sale price will go to Cancer research UK, in Lis's memory.

I will be listing another piece next week - a three card puzzle. Watch this space.

Sword and Sorcery

Here are a few of my favourite cards from Cult Stuff's Age of Sorcery set, all now approved.

One of my cards has been used as a promo card too!
My Sword and Sorcery cards have all been approved and should be with Cult Stuff as I type. This was a very enjoyable set to draw, allowing me more freedom than usual to use my imagination and come up with my own compositions for a change.

The next set I will be working on is Vampirella for Breygent. I've been collecting lots of reference material and I'm raring to go. Two weeks of half term has set me back a bit, work-wise, but I'm looking forward to getting back up to speed from next week onwards.

On eBay this week:

The drawing of Victoria is similar to another one I sold on eBay recently(just in case some of you noticed). This is the one I drew first, before I realised that the reference image I'd downloaded from the web had been flipped... Perhaps someone will like it for the novelty value. ;-)

Cathy

I recently completed a portrait for a friend, of his wife. The top image shows the original concept sketch. I tried to keep the painting loose and a little impressionistic, as the reference photo I had didn't show a lot of detail, especially of Cathy's face. I enjoyed working on canvas board, and would like to do more portraiture in the future. The painting was well received. :-)
